Bio Dr Ladwig

After graduating with honours from Medicine at University of NSW in 1989, Dr Petra Ladwig obtained a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 1992. She went on to complete specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Nepean Hospital in Sydney and Royal Hospital for Women, Melbourne. She then obtained her Fellowship in The Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2000.

She also completed a Graduate Certificate in Counselling at The Institute of Counselling, Sydney in 1998.

Petra went on to undertake locums in Sydney, Rockhampton and Broken Hill before settling on the Sunshine Coast in 2000. It was at this point that she set up the ‘Suncoast Womens Centre’ aiming to provide comprehensive care to women of all ages. Dr Ladwig consults on a monthly basis in Gympie, with her main rooms being in the Sunshine Coast Surgical and Specialist Centre in Birtinya.

Dr Andreas Obermair, a Gynaecologic oncologist also consults from this location on a fortnightly basis.
